One of the challenges my co-chairs and I faced in designing the space for this year's Showhouse was that we weren’t able to mount anything on the walls, and we needed something tall to set “stuff” on. Our theme had elements of an Asian aesthetic, so a screen was a great option. The doors were purchased at a local ReStore, and we picked them because we loved the carved circular detail. The shelves were added, and the louvers were painted with a crackle finish to give the unit a distressed look.
Hi I know this is an old post but I'm repurposing large louvered closet doors that are almost 8 ft tall. I want to make shelves as well but what can I do to keep it from tumbling over?
